We have egg-laying chickens as well as meat bird chickens (broilers). Our eggs are brown with a bright golden yolk because our birds are eating grass. Our egg layers range from 3 years to 9 months old, as a result our eggs come in varying size in each carton. We have around 90 layers and they average around 75 eggs each day in season. The broilers arrive in the mail, only 3 days old. They are raised 6-8 weeks, then processed by Dine’s Farms. At three weeks old they leave the brooder and are put out on fresh pasture where they are moved daily. We put a lot of work and love into these chickens. If you’ve never eaten pastured poultry, you really should treat yourself to the difference in taste. The meat birds are available fresh June through October, we recommend that you contact us to reserve your birds. We also try to keep a stock of frozen chicken available but it sells out quickly.
