Heather Ridge Farm

Grassfed Meats and Pastured Poultry

Pork

The pigs came in 3 bunches this year. We get our red-skinned Tamworth pigs in early spring because they don’t  sunburn before the leaves provide shade. In June and July batches of Hampshire/Yorkshire crosses arrived on the farm.  Each batch of pig is in an area of several acres with heirloom apple trees. They have their own pond for wallowing (we refer to it as the piggy spa) and all the forage that they can root up.
